This month we are covering L’OBJET which has gained a global reputation with its extraordinary designs where meticulous craftsmanship intersects with timeless sensitivity. Published on Marie Claire Maison.
As the creative director of the L'Objet, Elad Yifrach not only strives to create a new level of modern art, but expands and transcends traditional craftsmanship through imagination. He listens to his passion for innovation while using technical and high- quality materials, thus ensuring that every collection he creates is even richer in detail and of unmatched quality. L'Objet is also known for its collections with world- renowned artists. The brand is adding a new one to its collections this year with Kelly Behun and Lito. The latest collaboration with Haas Brothers has a very wide imagination. We got the most up-to-date information about the brand from Elad Yifrach.
Sharon Doncourt: You work with famous designers and have very interesting collections ranging from Kelly Behun to Haas Brothers. How do you decide who to work with?
Elad Yifrach: So far, all of our work has come out very organically. I would say that the important prerequisite is always mutual admiration. All the artists and designers I work with are professionals whose work fascinates me and who understand and love the work we do under L’OBJET.
Could you tell us about the starting point of the new collection collaboration with Haas Brothers? How did the concept of this collection, which refers to “fantasy pieces” come about?
Elad Yifrach: I have admired the world and work of Haas Brothers for years. A mutual friend of ours, Thomas Rom, an art consultant, had the idea to bring us together in a collaboration where the design world of L'Objet and the art world of Haas Brothers collide. From the first meeting, there was an instant connection and we immediately started working on the ideas. Creating the collection together felt good and organic. We started designing the new part of this collection during the beginning of the pandemic shutdowns, the world was in a strange and unknown state and this inspired us to imagine a new future. The first collection was
more fanci, otherworldly, filled with a lot of humor and surrealism. This new chapter is more about promoting joy and encouraging more conscious human interaction with others and
ourselves.
